Everyone knows that the Super Bowl is about so much more than football. There are the commercials, the epic half-time show, and last but definitely not least, the food. The second Sunday in February is basically snacking prime time, and you’ve got about four hours to scarf down as many chicken wings, sliders and party dips as you possibly can. Ahead, we've got all the Super Bowl appetizers and football snacks you’d expect from a typical game day spread — plus a few of your future new favorites.
Here, you’ll find everything from classic pigs-in-a-blanket, to cheesy homemade crackers, to buffalo, and well, everything. Vegans and vegetarians, we have your bases covered (wrong sport, we know) with dairy-free queso, homemade hummus and a ton more. For your sanity, we also strongly recommend a mix of store-bought and homemade snacks. Choose one or two options from this list, then pick up a few bags of chips, dips and frozen snacks to add to your menu. You can also round things out with a few healthy Super Bowl recipes, though we definitely won’t judge you for making an entire menu out of finger foods.
It doesn't matter how many people you're cooking for: These apps can easily be halved or doubled in a snap. And to make the evening even more memorable, play a few Super Bowl party games or make yourself a Super Bowl drink while you wait for the coin toss. May the best team win!
